WOW... month 7

I can't believe that it is July! Seriously, where did time go? My baby just turned 4 on the 22nd of June and my oldest will be 8 on the 31st of July. School will be starting back up at the end of the month and next thing you know, the Christmas holidays will be here again. I feel like I just took down the tree. What about you? Has the year just flown or what? I have lots to share with ya today. Some sales, deals, layouts and new stuff so keep reading all the way to the end!

So I made a new friend online. Some of you may know her already. Her name is Sophia Davies and she sells at Digitals. We had mutual friends and follow each other on twitter and Facebook. Well, today she sent me the links to this super cute Liberty Mini. Isn't it adorable? I love the swirls because they remind me of fireworks when they start to fall. I can't wait to create something special with this kit and you can bet I will share it with you. In the meantime, you can find her shop HERE or click on the image below.

Also, it is that time of the week for the fun and fabulous Fairy Finds at ESS. This week Charlie (of Charlie's Digiscraps) has her adorable Colors of a Geisha kit on sale for only $1. That is an awesome deal. I loved this kit and if you forgot what my layout looks like using it, click HERE. To head over to get this kit, just click on the image below.

Next Caryn is having a huge 50% off sale at ALL of her SHOPS! So you can grab any of her awesome CU stuff or cute kits for half off.... go... go... go!

ENCHANTED SCRAPS STUDIOS DIGIRIDOO SCRAPS SCRAPPITTY-DOO-DAH

Remember on Sunday night I posted that I was hosting a speed scrap. Well, here is the layout that I created out of my instructions. Now I know everyone does things different, including the instructions. The first time I hosted a speed scrap, I did the instructions/layout at the same time... Horrible and I agonized over every element.. The next time, I did a layout, then made the instructions... ok but still worried and kept changing it. Now, I have the trick. I use one of my old layouts as a guide, write the instructions up and then create a new layout.... tada! This pic is of my boys the other weekend. Gramma and grampa took them to the fair and they had so much fun. I got lots of wonderful pics but this one of them both sucking on those slurpees is just adorable. I dont get to see them sit side by side very often. That usually results in a kick, or hit... and then a hit back, the a MOMMY.... so... you get the picture, right!

I used a newly released kit by Digi-Designs by Nicole called Lazy Days of Summer and for the rest of this week, you can get it on sale for only $2.99 (click the image below or any of these links).

Ok.... last thing I want to share with ya.... This is a fun one!
I am taking some time off to do those fun MOMMY things... like play Candyland 20 times a day and have water gun fights in the backyard with the boys (yes, the team up against me). But I am also taking the time to do the FUN scrapping stuff, like challenges at all the great sites and speed scraps (as many as I can). But one thing that has been in the back of my mind is doing my own challenge a day, based on the random things that inspire me. So I mentioned it to an awesome friend, Caryn and she loved the idea so much she is letting me use her forum to host it at. So now, if anyone wants to join in on one of the daily challenges, you can. You will be able to post in the forum, gallery and we will have a chat! Is that cool or what? Lets all say THANK YOU to Caryn....

If you are interested in following along with the challenges, join me HERE! Just register to post and jump in! The first challenge has been posted (but obviously NOT done as it is 3am) but I am excited for it. This particular idea has been in my head all month and is based on a song I hear all the time. 1234 by the Plain White T's. Go to the forum and check it out along with a link to the song for inspiration.

See ya there!

A New Day... a new start and a smile!

The lovely Color with Caryn has a new kit out - A New Day! And for some reason this kit just has emotional written all over it! Something about the elements and the great papers just scream at you to scrap something honest. I tell you... you just might need a tissue after visiting Caryn's blog and seeing all the wonderful and heartfelt layouts that all the CT girls did. And be warned... we are joining the CT contest at DSA and we are gonna scrap our hearts out (and win)! Click on the image below to go to Caryn's blog...

So this kit has 14 awesome paper, 59 totally unique elements and an alpha! And guess what! You can get it on sale now for 40% off - but only Saturday and Sunday! So run over to one of Caryn's shops and grab this and create something beautiful and memorable.

ENCHANTED SCRAPS STUDIOS DIGIRIDOO SCRAPPITY-DOO-DAH

And.... of course, one can never leave you without an awesome freebie! So the fiesty Erin of Scrappyweiss Designs created this fantastic addition to A New Day. You can grab this freebie on Caryn's blog (click the image below) but be sure to stop by Erin's blog to leave some love... or not. he he... (love ya Erin)

Ok, get that tissue out... ha ha... or maybe not! Anyway, here are my layouts. This kit was just so easy to work with that stuff just flowed out and onto my computer...

Ok, now for something more cheery, eh? Last weekend my in-laws took the boys to the County Fair. I think they went on every single ride they were tall enough for. I have tons of awesome pics to scrap but here are some I did for Speed Scraps tonight. This first layout - zipzip ZOOM - was done for a Speed Scrap at Go Digital Scrapbooking. Click the layout for full credits.
This next layout - Fairly fun - was done for a Speed Scrap at Enchanted Scraps Studios and it was hosted by the super wonderful Charlie of Charlie's Digiscraps. Make sure you stop by her blog and sign up for newsletter. She always has great goodies.

Oh... and before I forget. Did you all register for the FREE photo editing class at Jessica Sprague? If you haven't, why not? It is free! Free, I tell ya! Can't beat that these days. And it is a great chance to learn some awesome techniques to make those pictures POP. If you HAVE joined, then add me as a FRIEND so we can encourage each other during the class... (hint hint, that means email me as a reminder please) :)

Well, that is it for tonight. I am so tired. But I will be back tomorrow to show you a new kit from CW Picket along with a little treat.

Meeting online friends and more( uh, and I forgot to post this)

Wow, I cannot believe it! June 15 is here already. Oops, I think it is the 16th now (I am up late as always). So much has happened and so much more is on its way... birthdays, summer vacation, trips, fun, and more! So where to start.... uhmmm.... how about checking out this awesome layout....

Can you guess who those two hot mamas are? Its me and Nicole (Digi-Designs by Nicole). How awesome huh! Ok, can you guess which of us in the picture is who? Well, the one with the Beatle Juice Head is ...... ME!!! ha ha.....
Nicole scrapped this layout of us and was so kind to send it to me. She used a really cute kit called Summer Blossoms by Gettin' Scrappy with Britt. You can check out Britt's store HERE.

Next up is another layout created by Nicole (who is a much better scrapper than I when it comes to scrapping memories when they happen... not years later). This layout is of her 3 kids and my youngest on one of the fun rides at Knott's Berry Farm! This layout uses a soon to be released kit called Lazy Days of Summer by Digi-Designs by Nicole. Keep an eye out for it HERE in her store.

And I am not that bad of a scrapper. I did a page! This layout is of Nicole's two girls on a ride at Knott's Berry Farm also. This kit was so perfect for the shirts they had on that I just couldn't resist scrapping those cuties!

And are you thinking... wow, that layout is so adorable? Well, I lifted and flipped it from a paper layout that was on the cover of the recent issue of Scrapbooks etc. I get my inspiration from everywhere.... actually, I had a horrible head cold while trying to scrap this last week after Nicole left and couldn't think on my own... so I had to lift! It is still cute. And are you wondering about the awesome kit, with those perfect petal pinks and grassy greens? Well, it is Fresh Picked, the newest release by CW Picket and I think it is her best yet! I love all the fun, country-ish ness to it but it doesn't limit you. There are 14 papers (9 patterns and 5 solids) a full alpha with numbers and punctuation, 2 journals, 5 frames, 4 bird elements, 2 apple elements, 2 bird houses, 2 paper flowers, 4 bows, 7 ribbons, 5 buttons, 2 paper vines, 1 string, 1 picket fence and 1 tree. I would love to see what someone else does with it. So run over and grab this kit... GO HERE to get it.

Don't stop reading yet... I have more to share. Now I asked some lovely scrappers if they wanted to work with this kit and I got a " hell yea" so check out these layouts. The image is linked to their blog, so stop by, say hi, leave them some love and maybe find a freebie.

This absolutely stunning layout was made by Kathy of The Latest Scoop, too! Isn't her little girl adorable? Check out the fun things in this layout... like the the little pink birdie, string and ribbons at the top of the layout and the great way she stacked the papers to make a matted frame for her pic.

Now Kathy was nice enough to turn this incrediable layout into a QP for you... just click the image to go to Kathy's blog to download.... remember your manners. And if you are interested, you can check out Kathy's store HERE.

Next is a cute layout made by Holly.

And last is a cute Brag Book page made by Danyale of ByGone's Scrapbooks. Click on the image to go snag it.

Next, you absolutely have to stop by CW Picket's blog. Look at the goodies she has for you - adorable cluster frames and a twitter background! WHOHOOOO!

Keep reading as I might have a little treat for you at the end!!!!

So have you heard of Scrappity-Do-Dah? Well, this fun place just got a bit more fun (I really like to say funner). Color with Caryn has joined the ranks of awesome designers. So go stop by! Lots of fantastic and familiar faces there!

Now... when I started digi-scrapping it was for the fun and super addicting speed scraps. So I wanted to take a minute and just share some of my recent speed scrap layouts. If you still haven't tried them... uh, whatcha waiting for? I know the name sounds scary but honestly, it is the best time ever... better than chocolate... better than sex... better than Twilight... oops, not better than that but you get the picture, right!

This layout was done at a speed scrap at my first Speed Scrapping home - ScrapMatters. I just love how this turned out. The layout uses mostly everything from MickeyB and I used the same kit - Plenty of Sunshine - to decorate the blog this month. You can get that kit on sale this month HERE. Click the layout for full credits.

This one was also done at ScrapMatters a while back but is again... just one of my favs.

This one isn't a speed scrap but was a QP challenge at Stuff to Scrap. Everyone did a QP and then they got ALL of them. That is a whole book done for you. You can check out this challenge HERE.

Here is another layout done for a speed scrap. This time at Digiridoo Scraps. Talk about outside my box on this one. Oh, did I mention that Color with Caryn is selling at this store also? Click on the layout for full credits.

This one was created last week or so at a speed scrap at Scrappity - Do- Dah. I loved the instructions on this... even if they were a bit challenging! Doesn't it look like this layout is just moving? BTW... that is my little one and Nicole's middle child on a ride at Knott's Berry Farm.
Most recently I did this speed scrap at Enchanted Scrap Studios with Charlie of Charlie's Digiscraps. She will be hosting 2 a month and you should come... look how cute this is. Click on image for full credits.

Digi-Designs by Nicole teamed up with Flower Scraps to create a fun kit called Beach House. You can find this kit in their shops at Stuff to Scrap!

And here is the very non beach house related layout I created using this kit. I love how this looks all retro.

And here is your treat for being a good reader. You can download this QP by clicking the image. Hope you enjoy it! Check back as there will be more surprises this week.

I wish it were Sunday... Oh oh....

Who loves Mondays? Go on, speak up... ok... that's enough! One more week of school left for Ryan and then 7 weeks of craziness! Any good ideas on CHEAP summer fun? We will do Sea World several times a week (season passes). It is great to go when it first opens up and run around for a few hours then head home for lunch. I know the movies does a free thing one day a week but there are 7 days in a week... I don't think Ryan can play (should I mean) the Wii that much. Share your ideas please........ I need them!

I have been a terrible blogger lately. It just hasn't been any fun to blog, ya know! All I do is post CT requirements and no chit chat. So, I am making some changes. What fun is digital scrapping if everything I do is for someone else. Crazy me... I went berserk applying for CT's last year and while I have had so much fun with them, I don't have time for me. So I am going to be cutting back some and doing more challenges around the digi world. I will post the ones that I am doing so maybe you can join me!

Well, on to the CT stuff....
Digi-Designs by Nicole teamed up with Gettin' Scrappy with Britt and they created this super cute kit called Family Memories. I think they knew those were the San Diego Padres team colors and wanted to make me a special kit! (wink wink). Here is the layout I made:
And here are the full previews of each designer's portion. Click on the image to head over to their blog to download this awesome kit for FREE. Yep.... FREE. You just have to stop by their blog each day this week to grab all the parts. So go... and mind your manners - say Thank You.

I had forgot to post this last week (because I was off at Disneyland, he he) but you should see this. I have seen so many store collabs and I was completely blown away by this one. It is called On the Go and is from the designers at Stuff to Scrap.

Right now the kit is $6.99 but is totally worth it. You get 91 papers, 204 elements, 3 alphas and 3 brag book templates. I made some cute page border cluster starter thing-a-ma-jigs and they are included in the download. Wanna see them??? Too bad... you get to anyways! :)

Uh... yea, that's Edward as my model! he he... It wouldn't of been cute to show you these previews with no pics in them.... ha ha... Ok, well, I just keep trying to use Edward pics as much as I can. I have even been scrapping him... yep yep! I'm obsessed!

Let's see... what else have I NOT shared with you... I really want to post my Edward layouts here but if you need to see them (and you do, admit it) then check them out HERE and HERE.

mmm... oh... Color with Caryn had a new kit come out last week (while I was at Disneyland) that I didn't post yet. This kit is AWESOME!!!! And I am not exaggerating. This is one of the best boy kits I have seen in a while, with lots and lots of unique elements that really capture the boy. It is called All Boy, and boy is it boyish! (ha ha...) You can find this kit at Enchanted Scraps Studios or Digiridoo (Caryn JUST started selling there and its is awesome). While you are checking this kit out, look at the other stuff in Caryn's store. She just put in some blog templates, so you can make your own cute backgrounds!
I created a fun layout with it at a Speed Scrap. I found a fun new place to Speed Scrap - it is called Digiridoo!!! Check out this layout using the famous TaylorMade (no, not the golf clubs) minimalistic style. I don't think this style is for me but its ok for a quirky me type layout.

Now Charlie's Digiscraps has been a busy little gal also. Look (or click, image is linked to her shop) at what she has for you this week!
I love these colors. So bright and fun... I haven't made a layout with these yet (because I was at Disneyland) but the ideas are turning as I look at the pic so watch out. If you buy these lovely Oranges and Lemons THIS WEEK, you will get 30% off! Plus if you stop by Charlie's blog, you will find some freebies from the other CT gals and layout ideas.

Ok, I have more stuff for you and a freebie, but I have a few other things to do first. So... I will be back. One last thing... life is full of crap but that doesn't mean you have to be!

6.01.2009

June gloom, yep...

it is officially June 1st and what comes with it.... cold weather? HUH? It is 61 degrees and overcast this first day of the month. So sad. It is usually like this the entire month here in Sunny San Diego. Nice huh? Don't come for a visit yet, ok? Wait till July or August.

So I have so much to share today. New kits, designing birthdays, a freebie... WOW, wow wuzby! :)

So first up is a kit that was given away as a Daily Download at Digital Candy before it shut down. Make a Wish is a collab by Stolen Moments and Trixie Scraps (and what an awesome combo that is).

Here is the layout I did with it!

Next up is a collab at Enchanted Scrap Studios with Color with Caryn and Robyn Pali.

Finally... Charlie's Digiscraps is turning ONE! Yep... She has been designing for one year now... Look at this awesome kit she made for the occaison!
Here is my layout I made with this! And look below for a QP....
