Feel the Love Blog Train has pulled into this station

First, I want to say thank you to those of you that left me the wonderful uplifting comments on my last post.  I am still thinking about it constantly and I know I really should just forget about it but its hard.  I am a good person and I just hate thinking of what the parents think of me now.  But the good news is that one of the babies, the one that was treated the worst is no longer there and I am watching him!  He has been such a joy this past week and I have been amazed at how happy and animated he really is.  I am in the process of opening my own in home daycare and until I get my license I can watch only one other family's kids... so he is it!  And he needs this time with my undivided attention and love.

I have my part of the Feel the Love blog train.  It is a fun project that the designers at Digiridoo Scraps decided on.  The palette and name for this train is the brainchild of Band Geek Designs.  Isnt she just wonderful for taking on this project?  I think so!   If you are just jumping on this train, here is a list of all the other stops where you can find more mini kits to coordinate with mine!  Wow, that makes this a mega train!!!

This is what you are downloading and remember to grab it up quickly because the links will only be active for ONE WEEK and then you can find it in my shop!  Make sure you grab both files because one has papers and the other has the elements and I know you are gonna want to play with both!!!
Free Download No Longer available
You can find it in my shop!

I hope you enjoy this little Valentine treat.  I would love to see what you make with it.  Enjoy the day!

My Hearts Dream Freebie and more

Happy February!  Wow, did January fly by or what?  To me it sure did, especially since I was out sick for 2 whole weeks of it.  I had been pretty sick in December but never really got better only worse and then in January, I ended up with the FLU and after still not better, the doctor said I had bronchitis.  A week later I was not feeling any better in spite of all the drugs and another doctor told me I had WHOOPING COUGH.  Crazy but I just got my test results back and I did!  Apparently we have an epidemic of it here in California.  I am on the mend now and have no cough left, only an injured rib.  2 weeks in bed was really really boring so I was able to get some designing done.  I also watched all 3 Twilight movies alot!!!  Yep... and have you all seen this pic released from the scene of Breaking Dawn?
Yes... I so wish that were me!  November cannot get here fast enough!

I have lots to share, including a blog train freebie so keep reading.  I only post things I care about so I would appreciate if you take a moment or two to check them out sometime (hehehe, like the Rpatz video above!!!)

February brings new things to Digiridoo Scraps such as challenges, a Queen Love-a-Lot Contest, a new Team Collab called Crazy You and next week, a new kit from me!  So much love in the air!  ahhhhh

Do you have what it takes to be crowned our first ever Queen Love-a-Lot?  Stop by Digiridoo Scraps and join in on this fun contest.  Everyone that signs up will get our monthly collab for FREE and you get the opportunity to be the reigning Queen!
And if you like this ad, well, its a sneak peak of an upcoming release from Band Geek Designs.  Shhhh, dont tell her I showed you!

Crazy You is the February Team Collab.  Crazy You is awesome.. I think!  LOL.  I love the color swatch that was chosen from a gypsy skirt.  The contrast in funky colors is delightful and entertaining.  This kit can be used for Valentine themed layouts, love, anniversaries, marriage, date nights, and maybe even for that page about your kids driving you CRAZY!

So while you are playing the Queen Love-a-Lot contest and getting this awesome collab for free, you might as well check out the fun challenges we have in our Corroborree Centre.  This month we have a Color Challenge, a Calendar Challenge, Font Challenge, Quote Challenge, a Scrap Outside the Box Challenge and as always, the Art Journal Challenge hosted by Sarah Barber Designs.

Digirdoo Scraps is looking to add some new talent to our line up.  If you are interested in working with a great team, where decisions are made together and there is lots of camaraderie, then please apply.  All styles and experience levels are welcome.

Now, I know you are seriously tired of reading right?  Has all this been boring?  Awww... I dont think it was.  How about I'm nice and go ahead and post the blog train freebie?  Yea, does that make you happy?  If you are following the train, then you should have come from Digilicious Designs' Blog.  If you are just finding this post and would love to jump on the train, you can start HERE

I split the kit into two downloads, elements and papers.  Sorry but the downloads are thru 4shared.  I am working on an FTP direct download for ya'll but only if I get lots of  comments!  How's that for bribery?  LOL  Here is the preview of what you are getting.  I seriously need to work on making smaller kits to give away but for now, you get to reap the benefits.  Also, check the Super Important Info folder because I put in a little goodie for you!!!!  :)

Download Elements                  Download Papers

ok, ya'll got lucky.  4shared was SOOOOOOO SLOW tonight, I couldnt even upload my files so you get a direct download!  YEA.  Make sure to say thanks!   The next stop on the train is at eqrAveziur grafic design.   Make sure to leave love everywhere you go so that it encourages us to keep on chugging!

I am not on many CT teams much anymore since I had to go back to work full time but there is one team that I will never leave.  That is the team for Ellie Lash.  Now if you dont know who Ellie Lash is, well, she is almost an historic icon in digiscrapping.  LOL  Ellie started up Sunshine Studios originally back in the day with Studio MGL and Flergs.  She was also at Scrapbook Graphics for a while before retiring and then thinking better of that choice, came out of retirement to sell at Sunshine Studios again.  She is expanding her horizons and you will find her at some new stores this month.  Also, if you dont know this, she sells her Commercial Use products under the name That Girl Design.  So check back tomorrow for the grand opening news and in the meantime, you can find all her products in her personal store.  Oh, and check out her CT's blog.  The Angels always have fun giveaways and I write a weekend wrap up once or twice a month.

As a note, my last months Blog Train Freebie has now been removed as have all other freebies except for the one contained in the post below (Aussie Koalie).  However, I did find it on an illegal file sharing site and it really made me sad.  I do hope that if you download my kits, that you keep them for yourself and direct others to my blog rather than sharing the files.  I love to give away kits and have fun but I will not stand for piracy.  Thank you!

Australia Day Blog Train

All aboard the choochoo train, all aboard, all abooooooard! choo choo (singing in my head the song from PlayHouse Disney) Welcome to STOP #9.

Happy Australia Day! Nope, not Australian but so what! My friends are and the shop I sell at is and its a reason for a FREEBIE so lets celebrate. Do you like that ad up there? Well, it was made by the awesome Sarah Barber. Thank you Sarah. I love it and your creativity! Many of the designers at Digiridoo Scraps are having a sale this weekend as a result of Australian Day so make sure you stop by the shop and have a lookie. We have so many different styles of designs that I know you will find the perfect kit.

Here's my contribution to the blog train. Don't you just love the color scheme we used? The colors remind me a summer evening. And guess what?! It's the same color scheme as our February Challenges participation prizes so if you want to have even more goodies in these colors, come and have a look around in the Corroborree Centre in February and join in a challenge or 2.

layouts, sales and games

I am so pleased at how many visitors I have gotten to my blog so far this month! Who knew a blog train could do all that? LOL. And I am equally shocked at the number of comments I have received. Now granted it is no where equal to the number of downloads but I am still pleased that people are taking the time to say thanks. It makes me wanna do more freebies!

I havent had any time yet this month to design. Working full time does that sometimes. But I have had time to scrap a little. I love scrapping more than designing so when there is a little bit of free time (and the motivation) guess what I choose? Here are a couple of pages using newer kits by Ellie Lash. You can find her at Sunshine Studios and she also has her own personal shop now. I used templates from Berry Sweet Designs for both of these layouts. I was never a template girl but I am in LOVE with all of Berry Sweet's. You can find her products at Polka Dot Plum and MScraps.

This layout is created with Cinnamon Cocoa by Ellie Lash.  Its a wintery type of kit but as you can see, it can really be used for any kind of layout.  Template is from Simply No2 by Berry Sweet Designs

This layout is created with Sweet Snowflakes by Ellie Lash Designs.  Another wintery type of kit but very adaptable.  The page stitching and the photo border are also by Ellie Lash.  Template is from the Cut Outs set by Berry Sweet Designs.

I love this layout!!!  Ok, I know it looks bad, but seriously, it was sparkling cranberry juice!  I just love the profile of my baby's face and that skinny arm holding that glass.  I created this layout for the Color Challenge at Sugar Hill Co.  You should try it, you get a free little add on kit by Victoria Feemster to use or you can purchase the full kit.  The background paper (recolored) and the photo border are again from Ellie Lash.  The stamp behind the papers are from a Sugar Hill Collab called Sweet Memories.

This is the last layout I created this week.  Vintage Colors is a new release by Michelle Underwood and you can find it only at 2 Peas in a Bucket.  I just love Michelle's style and ease of putting random colors together for a great look.  The photo is me and my bestie, Joyce (aka Becky).

Well, I have more info for you.... a sale!  Who loves a sale?  LOL.  But its not from me!   ha.  Its from LouCee Creations.  I have had the privilege of knowing this awesome gal as fellow CT mates and recently as a fellow designer at Digiridoo Scraps.  But alas, she is packing up and moving!  Its sad but you know what makes me happy?  She is having a 50% off sale!   Heck yea!!!  The sale ends this Sunday but I bet I could pull a few strings and get it extended!!!   LOL.

I love LouCee's kits!  Like LOVE... I have a desktop calendar that I made last year with one that is still my fav to use even tho its not September anymore.  Plus LouCee has excellent Commercial Use products that have all been Quality Checked.  No Strays, No Jaggies, No random crap in the middle of the image!  Seriously, I use her stuff and I use it because the quality is good.  Go check it out, see for yourself and if you are not happy, let me know!

Yea, long post for me.  I think I am really trying to beat my own posting record. So I will leave you with a little freebie.  I had posted info about it in December but I just want to make sure that everyone grabs it that wants it before I take it down at the end of the month.  I created an Add On to my Country Holiday kit and it was available as part of Digiridoo Scraps 25 Days of Christmas. So if you didn't run over and grab it there, then here is your chance.  Just say thanks if you take it... using your nice manners and all.

Jan Blog Train - Grandma's Quilt

Wow... Happy New Year!  I can't believe another year has flown by.  Is it me or does time move faster when you are getting older?  mmm...  Speaking of time, the designers at Digiridoo Scraps teamed up this month and created a monthly collab called About Time.  It has time related elements and word art, fun organizational elements and much much more.  There is over 80 papers and more than 100 elements.  You can grab it for FREE if you make a purchase of $5 or more.  I say its a great deal!!!

I want to take a moment to mention that a dear friend and fellow CT member of Ellie Lash's team, Melanie aka SassyPixie, has opened up her own store.  Everything is on sale this month for the Grand Opening.  Stop by and check it out.  Just click HERE to go.

In the past I have always loved the bi-monthly blog train that is ran by Trish from Enchanted Scraps.  I love seeing how over 100 designers create individual pieces and it comes together in a beautiful kit! This month is my first ever time participating in the blog train as a designer.  So exciting.  I love all the mini kits I have seen so far and I am sure you will also.  The theme this month is perfect so many layouts... heritage, sewing, crafts, family and more.

If you just found me, you have probably just come from Mistica Designs' blog. If you are lost, or have no clue what I am talking about (LOL), then you can start at the beginning HERE.

Here is the preview of my part.  I went overboard... small is NOT my middle name.

You can grab my part from DropBox.  It is 4 files, sorry!  I hope it works out for you as I am really like this company!  If you like it and decide to join up would you please put me down as a referrer so we both get extra storage space???    UHm.... scratch that on how great Dropbox is since they suspended my links.  I have emailed them as to why!!!   Anyway, uploaded to 4shared.  Not any of our fav way to download but its all I got right now, sorry!

I hope you enjoy this portion of January's Blog Train.  Please leave a comment if you download.  I would love to have your feedback. For the next stop on the train, head on over to Jumbbumbledesigns. Have fun!!

12.11.2010

Wow... where has time gone?  Seriously... this year has just flown by.  Crazy.  2011 is upon us and I sure hope its a better year than this one has been.

I released my second apprentice kit, Country Holiday, at Digiridoo Scraps last week.  Then I got sick and have been in bed all week long so blogging about it was last on my list.  I am finally feeling better but still coughing my lungs up.  But hey, all things for a reason right?  Well, how perfect is this?  Today is also my contribution on the Digiridoo Scraps blog/forum.  I have an Add On to Country Holiday available for FREE.  And I think its super cozy!  mmm.... dont ya wanna go check it out?  Yep... go!

Here is a preview of Country Holiday.  The full kit contains 15 papers and 31 elements.

I am offering it for only $3 but if you go check out the FREE add on, you might find a special something something.  You can find this kit in the shop.  And below is a preview of the Add On.

Well, not much else has been going on.  I haven't had a lot of time to scrap but here are a couple layouts created using Ellie Lash's new kit called Jolly Holiday.  You can find it at Sunshine Scraps separately or in a bundle.

Hmmm... trying to think if I have used any other kits lately! I just scrapped a page tonight using a new kit from Scrap'It Designs Heart and Soul can be found at Digiridoo Scraps.  My page also uses some grungy glitter called Haute Couture by Kathryn Wilson.  I think it works just perfectly here!  Oh, yes, he is beautiful!

Lastly, my blog seems to not like links lately.... so, please excuse the randomness and inability to click on anything.

Chutes and Ladders... or stairs in my case

So I am slowly recouping from slipping down the 3 stairs in my house and landing hard as heck on my tushie... almost 2 weeks ago.  Have you ever seen a butt swell up?  Let me tell ya that it aint a pretty site.  My 8 yo son said that it looked like my butt was growing a butt.  My 4 yo said that I needed to take band aids and keep putting them side by side until it was this big.... as he is holding up his hands in this giant 2 foot square!  Uhm kids... be nice to your mom's butt.  After 5 days the swelling and pain hadn't subsided so I went to the doctor.  That was a fun experience (read that as NOT)... having my butt x-rayed, having the doctor poke my butt to see if it hurt (yea, it did) and having my dear husband making me laugh at stupid jokes!  Good news was that my bum bum was not broken... but it had a contusion.  A week of muscle relaxers, pain meds and sleeping my stomach has helped but I am ready to get back up and do stuff.

So as always, I am late posting stuff.   Ah well... life ya know.  I have a mini kit freebie for you as part of the COLOR with CARYN monthly blog hop and a QP for you that you could use for Mother's Day!   So, lets get this party started.

First up, Janice of JW DigiScraps let me play with her beautiful new kit - a Mom for the Ages.  OH MY... I am in love with the colors of this kit.  I couldn't' decide on papers and she included so many elements that I wanted to put them all on my page.  JW DigiScraps is a guest designer this month at the Studio and you can grab this awesome kit of hers for only $3.  This is one kit that has multiple uses so I would snag it up if I were you.  Here is the kit preview....

and here is the layout I created using a template from Sara Ellis.  She had an awesome bag of templates on sale for NSD and this was one of them. Oh..and I love the old retro WOMEN/MOM/COFFEE signs.  I collect the images on my computer and sure wish I could buy some to put in my house!

So the QP I am giving you is the above image... minus the mom's pic!  LOL... I figured you could put a pic in and then use the squares to write good things about your mom, gramma, aunt, etc.  This QP will only be available until Mother's Day so make sure you grab it now!

freebie no longer available

Next up is my portion of the Color With Caryn Creative Team Blog Hop.... whooo hooo!  I think my mini is more of a mini this month!  And since I am still new to this, please let me know how you liked the kit and if you make a layout, link me up please!  I would love to see.

And before I give you the download links, I want to let you know about the wonderful papers I used in this mini kit from Color with Caryn.  You can find at her products in her DSW and DSV shops (and hopefully back at DRS soon).  So, if you are looking for HIGH QUALITY CU items... you can't go wrong with Caryn's.

ok... now you can have the download links!  Thanks for stopping by and reading all about my broke butt!  See ya soon with more stuff.

I don't wanna grow up...

I wanna play all day. I wanna stay in pajamas and watch tv.... oh, dang, what am I singing? That isn't the Toys r' Us kids song. But speaking of growing up, a fellow CT friend turned designer, Scrappy Bits n Pieces by Becky has just released a new kit called Big Kid Now and she let me play with it. I love love how my layouts turned out! Seriously, how could scrapping this subject come out any cuter? Uhm... I did have some help though because Mrs. Mojo ran away with Sancho. So I used templates from Color with Caryn's new set of Template Essentials.

Fantastic templates +

adorable kit =

priceless layouts!

For full credits, click on each layout to view @ DST Gallery

Now... I have a treat for you! I turned each of these layouts in QP for you! Super easy for you to just put a photo in, add some journalling and Viola! Ready to send out for printing. To download each QP, just click on the preview. If you want both QP's, click both images!

Now if you download, remember your manners! It just takes a sec to show your thanks and that makes me warm and fuzzy! Warm and fuzzy me wants to do more for you!

Now, just a few more things... Tomorrow, April 1st, Digi-Designs by Nicole is hosting a SPEED SCRAP at Stuff to Scrap and you are not gonna want to miss this one. She is giving out an entire full Easter kit as the participation prize! Whoot! Click on the links for more info! And... more.... Stuff to Scrap designers are having a blog hop right now! Start at Digi-Designs by Nicole's blog and follow along to collect lots of goodies!

Hmmm... what else! Oh... I know. Michelle Underwood just released a new kit the other day called It's the little things. I love this kit and so I created a layout about ME... rare, I tell ya! And being a CT layout, I posted it around all the mandatory and not so mandatory places and guess what? I got LOTD at TheDailyScrapper~ Whohooo!

For full credits, click on the layout to see it @ DST's gallery

Hmmm... I also ended my Guest CT spot at Captivated Visions. I was so sad because this month was just crazy hectic for me and I never got an opportunity to work as many of Rachel's beautiful kits as I would of liked. I work 2 part time jobs and of course now its starting to get busy! Go Figure! Below is the last layout I did and I used Captivated Vision's Bellis Perennis kit, which is just cute as can be with flowers, leaves, awesome papers (I had a hard time picking so I used lots of strips), strings and ribbons! Plus I love this alpha! You can find this kit at Gotta Pixel where it is on sale right now.

For full credits, click on the layout to see it @ DST's gallery

Ok kids... have a good night! I am off to make more stuff! I work tomorrow morning, Friday morning and Friday night so I doubt I will be on again for the weekend. I really do have some thing for you all that I have been working for a while. Its done but doing the previews and splitting it up is just taking me forever. But I have decided to show you a little sneak peak (and if you recognize the color scheme, then you KNOW how long I've been working on this)

3.16.2010

late late, I've got a date (& freebie)

Yep yep... that's me! But hey, I wouldn't be who I was if I was on time... right (please agree with me ok). Today, really really fast I want to share two layouts with you that I made from a new kit called Tenderly by Digi-Designs by Nicole. I loved this kit so much that I made 2... yes, count 1, 2... layouts! This kit is available at Stuff to Scrap now. Plus I have a little treat for you at the end.

Here are my layouts. This first one means alot. This is my niece and she turned 8 in January and was able to join her family's church as a new member! It was a special day for her and she looks so beautiful. The journaling (you can read it in full below the layout) is the song she choose for the baptism and the title is a quote that is used among the members (if I am way off base on this, please let me know, ok). I wasnt able to go so this is my present to her! Love you Libs!!!

I like to look for rainbows whenever there is rain.

And ponder on the beauty of an earth made clean again.

I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain.

I want to be the best I can and live with GOD again.

I know when I am baptized my wrongs are washed away.

And I can be forgiven and improve myself each day.

I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain.

I want to be the best I can and live with GOD again.

This next layout is one that shouldn't surprise any of you! It's Robert Pattinson, of course! And I saw Remember Me over the weekend and wow. I truly believe he is more than just a pretty face (which sure isn't a problem for me). The movie was so full of emotion and life... ya know. It was a sad movie, mostly! I say that because it was about life... death, finding someone, falling in love, family, tragic accidents, and all the other things we experience every single day. I don't want to give it away but the ending was a complete shocker to me and I still get teared up over it... because it happened. And seeing how the aftermath affected a "movie" family hurt... but more so because real families and friends were affected... we just didnt get to see their initial response. I really suggest seeing it, but not with your spouse or boyfriend. Its a chick movie for sure and bring tissues! Luckily, I didnt use all mine to wipe the butter from my face!

Everything used is from the kit Tenderly, which you can see from the preview below. I just haven't had time to post my layouts in the galleries yet. I worked Sunday night at one job, then Monday morning and now I work Tuesday morning at my other one. Blah! But if you click on the image below, it will take you to Digi-Designs by Nicole's shop! But wait... don't leave yet! I have a treat for you! I turned both of my layouts into QP's for you (minus the eye candy, sorry). Keep going to the end for the download link!!

And here it is.... the QP's. You are getting 2... yes 2 pages from me today! If you download, please leave a thank you! And stop by Nicole's blog to grab links for more layouts. Many of the CT gals made pages for you to grab.

June gloom, yep...

it is officially June 1st and what comes with it.... cold weather? HUH? It is 61 degrees and overcast this first day of the month. So sad. It is usually like this the entire month here in Sunny San Diego. Nice huh? Don't come for a visit yet, ok? Wait till July or August.

So I have so much to share today. New kits, designing birthdays, a freebie... WOW, wow wuzby! :)

So first up is a kit that was given away as a Daily Download at Digital Candy before it shut down. Make a Wish is a collab by Stolen Moments and Trixie Scraps (and what an awesome combo that is).

Here is the layout I did with it!

Next up is a collab at Enchanted Scrap Studios with Color with Caryn and Robyn Pali.

Finally... Charlie's Digiscraps is turning ONE! Yep... She has been designing for one year now... Look at this awesome kit she made for the occaison!
Here is my layout I made with this! And look below for a QP....
