I also scanned in pics of my Father-in-law, who served in the Navy. He retired as a Master Chief. And I scanned in pics of me from my stint in the Navy.
I hope each American took a brief moment of their day to remember those who have fought for our freedom - in the past, the present and those who will do so in the future. Don't take freedom for granted - it can disappear.
I made this LO during a Speed Scrap at Scrap Matters tonight. For me, knowing exactly what I wanted made it very easy. A special thank you to Bethany of Elegant Word Art for the great saying - in Loving Memory - that I used in this LO. Perfect fit for a perfect day.

WOW! This LO turned out great. Good job!
this is a wonderful tribute to a great man. One of many hero's who served his country In WW2 as well as Korea. He didn't talk much about that time but was always a proud and loyal American. He was also a proud grandfather as his oldest grandchild followed in his footsteps and joined the Navy. You know her as "Simply Sarah". I thank her today for serving and protecting this country. And thank you for remembering my dad Al Twomey.
Love,
Mom
