Vintage Wallpaper looks great!

Do you like the look of Vintage Wallpaper? I did and so I chose this fun kit to work with today. You can find Vintage Wallpaper by Lady V Dzine at Pretty Scrappy. I picked the orange colors out of kit to use but there is also blues, greens, grays and burgandy. The elements are so beautiful with several different flower styles, ribbons, buttons, vintage hearts and 3 frames, including a super cute ornamental scroll frame. I have to warn you that if you go look at the kit in the store, you will only see the papers in the preview, but BELIEVE me, the kit is worth buying if you like this style.

Also, as a reminder, Pretty Scrappy is having a QP contest. It starts on February 1st so if you like to make QP's then this contest is for you. The winners of the contest get a place on the QP team which means that you will get FREE kits to work with! How awesome is that! So come on, sign up and have some fun!!!

I've been a busy little bee

Yikes, January is almost half over already! I am still trying to get caught up on my life from being so sick in December. Good thing school is back in and my oldest is gone most of the day. Gives me alot (well, almost) of time to scrap. Look at all I have done lately...

First, I am in love with this kit. I did another layout with it already that showcased my two sweet doggies. Look at this layout... my son, the elf! No, You're not. Yes, I am. No, You're not. Yes, I am. No, You're not. Yes, I am. This kit is called Santa's Workshop by Trixie Scraps and it has elves in it... little girls and boys... so cute. I am seriously in love with the papers of this kit... You can find Santa's Workshop at Sunshine Studios. You should check out Trixie Scraps other cute kits. Also, stop by her blog and say hello.

This next layout was done with a kit called Adoption Awareness by Lady V Dzine and is available at Pretty Scrappy. This kit had tons of great baby elements and tabs for documenting your journey thru adoption. And if you can't tell, that is my dog - Kasey. My oldest son was in Kindergarten when we got her and the teacher loved her. She let us visit all the time so Kasey became a regular student and she even got presents on special occasions.

I loved how this page turned out. At first, I was trying to add several "bad" takes but I just couldn't make it work where I liked it. So this is the end result. I love the rich color of the red with the soft cream colored paper. This is called Sweet Treats by Ladybug Pages and is available at My Scrap Shop. Make sure you check out Ladybug Pages full shop as there are so many great kits.

The last layout for now (that I can show you... he he) is from Digi-Designs by Nicole. The kit is called Love Notes and you can get it for FREE this week on her blog. I love the softness of the colors for this kit plus the notebook paper is so cute. And yea, that is my 3 year old son... already kissing the girls. Yikes, what am I in for!!!

Just Stuff around the digi-world

So I got my copy of the SAS newsletter today and showcased was this amazing layout. I have never seen a foot show thru like that and am in total awe over it. I keep staring at it - little wonders of our life! WOW. Click on the layout to leave some love on this beautiful photograph.

You can also check out her shop at SAS - here or her blog - here.

In other news
~Nicole from Digi-Designs will finally be back this weekend and there will be a new release on Monday. Stop by her blog and welcome her back.

~Amber at Stolen Moments will have a new kit out on Monday. If you haven't stopped by to grab Midnight Interlude, get going. You will enjoy it.

~Have you been to FaithSisters. This site is has so many designers, it is like going to a supermall! You have to check it out and while you are there - take a look at Nikki Painter's stuff (she just had a baby girl on Friday - Congratulations Nikki)

~Are you looking for a cute non-traditional Christmas kit? You have got to check out Sweet Treats by Ladybug Pages over at MyScrapShop. Actually you should check out all her great stuff and you might even find a freebie or two in there. Keep an eye out for some LO's from me with this kit.

~Snap and Scrap has lots of great challenges going on, including the COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS which is all about Hybrid gift projects. I was supposed to do a cookie sheet advent calendar but the site had some issues, I didn't like the way my project turned out and blah blah - but there are lots of great stuff there and I am making a NEW PROJECT (I just need some 2009 calendar templates - any takers??) If you haven't been to Snap and Scrap GO - they have a super friendly staff.

~Digitals has lots of great stuff also, remember Bannerwoman's sale is there along with many other designers. This month I get to work with two designers - Alessandra Designs and Michelle Pieters (a new designer at Digitals but also sells at Gotta Pixel). So expect some layouts featuring these two great designers.

~Pretty Scrappy is having a blog train... follow it for free QP's and bragbook pages (2 are from me)! See the link at the top of the sidebar!!!

OH...HOW COULD I ALMOST FORGET! Scrap Matters is having a daytime speed scrap on Friday, December 5th... check out the forum for all the time zones - I only know that it is 10AM for me. Hope to see you all there.

I could go on and on - I have my nose in so many sites...
Ok, now off to bed. Not feeling well today. I think Pam of Ladybug Pages passed her kids tummy bug to me thru the internet - Yuck - I slept from noon till 9pm and now better head back to my comfy bed with the built in heater - ahhh... my DH! Good night all.

Pretty Scrappy Blog Train...

All the great designers at PRETTYSCRAPPY have came together to make another wonderful and beautiful collab called Changing Seasons. I love this collab because it isn't holiday themed and the color combo is awesome! The designers totally outdid themselves. Take a look at the previews below!

As a CT member at Pretty Scrappy, I made some bragbook pages for you with this super cute kit. Whatcha think? I loved how they turned out and just might make more for holiday gifts.

Don't forget to visit everyone else on this wonderful train and then head to the shop to grab the kit for yourself. Remember to leave love for all these awesome people. Everyone worked hard to give you something for FREE!
Sarah -------------> you are here - thanks!
Thanks for stopping by!

typical boy

I have been super duper busy this weekend! Did I mention that I worked from midnight to 9am on the busiest shopping day of the year. Yea - the store I am working at for the holiday season opened up at 10PM Turkey Day so I had the privilege of working. It was fun, but exhausting!!

So I am trying to get caught up my CT assignments and play! Don't forget about all the fun in my previous post!!!!

Do you like circles? Bright colors and funky patterns? I do so I chose to work with this fun kit called Circle Obsession by Britney Ferguson Designs - available at Pretty Scrappy (site is down again so I can't link you). I loved this kit! I has lots of great papers with and without circles, including a torn paper and post its, along with cute elements like tags, rubberbands, pins and stickers. Very fun for almost anything. Here is what I came up with.

thankful thursday... uh-oh, its not Thursday yet...

OMG... My brain is fried, seriously! I should go to bed and not even post this right now but I will because tomorrow is a busy busy day!

I have been meaning to start a fun daily theme but you know what gets in the way each week.... life. yea! How does that happen?

Onto the layout... two in one day (hmmm... not sure this counts because technically it is Wednesday already - 2 hours and 46 minutes into it). This LO is made with an adorable fall kit from SandraK Designs called Mellow Autumn. It is available at Pretty Scrappy (forum and gallery are having issues so check back, ok). This kit has the great fall colors of orange, browns and greens but what I like the most about it was the fun elements. Did you see all those cool flowers and leaves?
Also, I have a question for my "fan club" - uh... you know who you are! Hi Kathy!!!! Kidding - lack of sleep. What do you think of this picture? Not the pic in general but my uh, whatcha call it, technique on it. I like to play around with the buttons on my computer and see what things do and this is what I came up with today but I like it... soft and light. Tell me what you think, honestly ok? Because if it is horrible, I shouldn't do it again.

BTW - that is me with my oldest son close to the last day of school in June 2007. I was privileged to spend alot of time volunteering in his class and became buds with his teacher and all the kids. We decorated cookies, made turkey cards out of ribbon and key tags, did tons of crafts each Friday, tried new drinks from Starbucks (minus the caffeine) and even made up Who names as we walked to the theater to see Horton hears a Who. (Yes, the LO with the crazy hat and face is from the same classroom.) Those kids taught me to be a better person by just being myself and to them and the opportunity that was allowed to me, I am eternally grateful.

Burnin' up? got DIRT? Check it out!

Have you been to Pretty Scrappy? It is a relatively new shop/forum/gallery and it ROCKS! There are tons of designers all making unique stuff. This week I got to play with 2 kits.

The first is called "Into the Fire" by Late Night Scraps. As soon as I saw this kit I knew what pics I was going to use. When my son was 2, we had these pics taken at Kiddie Kandids and they did an exceptional job. This kit has great papers, not just the red/white/blue combo but there are yellow and orange also. The elements are cool - the fire at the bottom of my page is actually part of a frame and the frame for the 3 pics is a ladder... so this kit is versatile for anything.

Got dirt? You might if you have boys... I got to play with a fun boy kit called Lil' Digger from Lady V dZine, one of the designers at Pretty Scrappy. This kit is loaded with dump trucks, cute frames, lots of papers and a full alpha!!
Well, what are you waiting for? Head over there and check it out. Don't forget to join the forum, do a challenge and I hope to see you around.
